Edge Paint or Foil?

Edge Paint
We can apply edge paint in any colour to add a striking finish to your business cards or stationery. A paint is applied with our tried and tested technique for a clean, crisp edge. We are able to match to any Pantone colour reference.

Edge Foil
Edge foiling is a similar process to edge painting. A foil is applied with heat and pressure to the edge of the card. Almost any foil colour can be used and this can be the same foil as the design printed on the card.

What colours can I have for edge painting?
We can apply any colour, just give us a Pantone ref and we will match the colour. We can also use metallic gold, silver, bronze and some fluorescent colours.
We can also add an edge foil with almost any foil.
Can I have edge painting on thin card?
Yes, but we recommend a thicker card for maximum effect.
Will you edge paint cards printed elsewhere?
We don’t take in edge painting work for jobs we have not printed.
Will the edge colour bleed?
There are occasions when the colour can bleed a little into the paper, but this depends on the paper. We will always advise if we think the colour will bleed and suggest alternative paper stocks.
Colour can also bleed into any impression that bleeds off the sheet. In this case we will advise altering the design to minimise or prevent this.
Edge foiling does not bleed.
Can you edge paint die cut jobs?
We advise against this because the colour can creep or bleed between the die cut pieces.
