Franklin Gothic Condensed is part of the Franklin Gothic family and was designed in 1902 by Morris Fuller Benton (1872-1948) for American Type Founders. As a classic display face named in honour of Benjamin Franklin, the prolific American printer, it is popular in newspaper and advertising industries. The term 'Gothic' refers to sans serif types based on 19th century sans serifs.
